What are the working principles and characteristics of Gear Pumps? , Including the Gear Pump is a type of positive displacement rotary pump, its working principle is: gear pump has a pair of intermeshing gears, gear (drive wheel) is fixed on the drive shaft, the end of the gear pump shaft extends out of the shell from the original Motive drive, the other gear wheel (slave wheel) of the gear pump is mounted on the other shaft. When the gear pump gear rotates, the liquid enters the suction space along the suction pipe and is pressed by the two gears to the discharge space along the upper and lower shell walls. Convergence (before meshing with teeth), then it enters the pressure pipe for discharge. The main features of the gear pump are compact structure, small size, light weight, and low cost. However, compared with other types of pumps, they have the disadvantages of low efficiency, large vibration, high noise, and easy wear.
